So, I need some help finding a good Halloween costume, but I can't think of any at all! I kind of want to have a costume that isn't like a joke costume, I want to dress up as something. (Example: Smarty Pants costume...I don't enjoy those ones too much) I would like to be able to make it myself, or just buy the clothes or things I need from stores like Value Village and all that.
Sorry it's kind of vague about what I want...
Thanks in advance!

Any ideas to make a homemade ketchup costume?
I do have some boxes, but I'm not sure that will work.

My dog is pretty big, and he is going trick-or-treating with us.
Well, me, my dad, and my three cousins are all going to be crayons.
All different colors, and we are home making the costumes.
We need to know how to make a homemade crayon costume for him.
Here is a picture of him: http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n328/sheltond2/Delaniespictures107.jpg So how could we homemake a crayon costume for him?

He wants to be Sludge from Nate the Great. I am having trouble finding a brown or beige sweatshirt and sweat pants. Do you have any suggestions that I can use for the base of the costume? I am unable to sow a suit from a pattern..i suck at sowing. I am able to hand stitch. I havent had luck finding a costume at any of my local stores...and the ones that I did see were for infants look way too hot anyway. He needs to be able to wear the costume to school. Please help!

Why on earth would a 5 year old want to be a television for halloween??? Anyway I would just get a box and paint it just like a box tv set...with dials and put a picture at least of sesame street on the front if he's not gonna be able to pick out his own costume. Get those antennas and put them on his head(lol).
Now the baby wow! I would just glue some buttons in a symmetrical pattern on a black shirt. and poof he's a remote.Maybe print remote underneath. So everyone won't ask what he is.
