My son is 6 mo. old and all of the costumes I have found in stores that would fit him are made from thick, hot material. Also, alot of them are just made like gowns at the bottom. He likes to move alot. Any ideas for a homemade costume? Links would be fine.

Use a thin long sleeved adult sized black shirt (or sweatshirt if where you are is cold) go to the craft store and get some white felt, cut a half oval and glue it on to the front, then get a little black hat with a bill and glue googlie eyes onto it (above the bill) and then get orange socks, slippers or shoes
You will have yourself a darling little penguin!
pumpkin pj’s (target has them)
red, yellow, green, blue or orange sweat suit and put an “m” on the front for an m&m
little jeans, a white “wife beater” tank and a denim jacket and if he has hair slick it back and he’s a 50’s greaser
white onesie, sweat pants… put black felt dots on it and a little black dot on his nose and he’s a dalmatian
green hoodie and sweats, put a tail (made from a leg from another pair of green sweats) and put purple triangles down the back of the shirt and tail and eyeballs on the top of the hoodie and he’s a dragon or lizard
Hope some of these ideas were helpful
What I’m doing is a white onsie with angel wings and a halo. I bought the wings and halo at Claires. There big, but that is what makes it extra cute.
Another idea is a yellow onsie with black electrical tape put on it horizontally, and he’s a bumblebee.
green sweats, a green stocking cap. green felt. make a pea pod and glue/sew to the shirt, pipe cleaners on the hat to make the stems.
