Couples Halloween Costumes: Male Cheerleader And Female Football Player?

I am a female and I plan on dressing as a football player this year for halloween and im trying to get my boyfriend to dress as a cheerleader. He said he will if I can think of a way for him to dress without showing too much skin (He is a fairly big guy.. 6ft 240lbs). So I need some ideas for his costume, please!

well you have a couple choices.

He could be a conservative 1950’s cheerleader.(which by the way were usually men, but they wore pants and I get you want the “girl” look for him)
Turtleneck sweater with a school logo or “letter” on it, and pleated skirt, short socks, tennis shoes, and pompoms. Perhaps a ponytailed wig and some make up?
Try Salvation Army for plus sized sweaters and pleated skirts, or your other local “gently used” clothing shops. Sometimes Halloween stores carry plus sized cheerleader outfits, and it’s all in one bag. Depends on how much you want to spend.

Why not go as a football/cheer couple from the past when the girls wore long skirts? If that doesnt work out you could always have him wear like wind breaker pants and a cheer top (bc during the winter alot of the cheerleaders for football games wear their wind breaker pants with their skirts over them in our part of the country). Hope that gives you some ideas!!
